Privacy Policy
ChartShot (“ChartShot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides AI-powered technical analysis of financial chart images.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it may be shared, how long it may be retained, and the choices available to you.
1. Who We Are
ChartShot is an independent app product operated by Kerem Beyazkurk.
Contact email: support@chartshot.app
For privacy-related requests, contact the same address. Users in Türkiye: see also the KVKK Aydınlatma Metni.
2. Information We Process
Chart Images
When you submit a chart screenshot for analysis, the image is transmitted to our backend infrastructure and AI service providers so that ChartShot can generate an AI Plan.
A chart image may unintentionally contain information visible in the screenshot, including account names, broker information or other identifying information. Avoid uploading screenshots containing information you do not want processed. Before upload, ChartShot re-encodes images as JPEG (resized), which removes typical EXIF/metadata.
Analysis Data
We may process information generated from your chart, including detected asset or symbol; timeframe; LONG, SHORT or HOLD output; Entry, Stop Loss and Targets; indicators; patterns; support/resistance; and AI-generated reasoning.
Account Information
If you use Sign in with Apple, we may process email address (if provided by Apple), Apple user identifier, authentication identifiers, and account status. We do not receive your Apple ID password. Analysis history is stored on your device, scoped to your account key.
Subscription Information
Purchases are processed through Apple In-App Purchase and may be mediated by RevenueCat. We may receive subscription status, product identifiers, transaction/entitlement identifiers, and renewal status. We do not receive full payment card information.
Technical and Usage Information
Depending on enabled technologies: app version; device/OS information; crash/diagnostic data; usage events (currently development logging only); IP address visible to our backend when you call the analyze API; timestamps.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information to provide chart analysis; generate AI Plans; save history on-device; operate subscriptions; secure the service; diagnose errors; prevent abuse; respond to support; comply with law; and improve ChartShot.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use financial circumstances, portfolio value, income or individual risk tolerance to provide personalized investment advice.
4. Artificial Intelligence Processing
Chart images and related prompts may be processed through Google — Gemini API (via ChartShot’s analyze proxy on Railway) to generate analysis. Retention for those requests follows the Gemini API tier and contractual terms in use (including any abuse-monitoring windows). Do not submit passwords, API keys, or highly sensitive financial statements.
5. Service Providers
- Google / Gemini — AI processing
- Railway — backend hosting for the analyze proxy
- Finnhub — optional calendar feed for Today (no chart images)
- RevenueCat — subscription entitlement status
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and/or In-App Purchases
6. Data Retention
Saved analyses remain on your device until you delete them, delete account data, or uninstall. The analyze proxy is designed to process the image for the request and return a result — not to keep a long-term gallery of uploads. AI providers may retain temporary processing data under their own policies.
7. Deleting Your Information
- In-app: Settings → Delete history
- Apple account: Settings → Delete Account
- Or email support@chartshot.app
See also Delete Account / Privacy Choices.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, and other rights. Contact support@chartshot.app. Users in Türkiye: see KVKK Aydınlatma Metni.
9. International Processing
Providers may process data outside your country. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used.
10. Children’s Privacy
ChartShot is not intended for children. Meet the minimum age required by law and the App Store listing.
11. Security
We use reasonable safeguards. No system is completely secure.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is published here and in the app.
